294655382_591476282571819_1240272277173499821_n“After my 7pm main stage performance on Saturday 16th July at the fabulous Forever Young Festival in Kildare, Ireland, I was invited by the lovely singer Brian ‘Freddie Mercury’ from Qween – (an absolutely AMAZING Queen tribute act) to join them during their set on the ‘Great Pretenders Stage’ at 10.45pm to duet ‘Under Pressure’ with them. They are SO musically talented, such great guys and so much like the real band that I just had to say yes! I’m so glad I did. They were the last band of an incredible day and 15,000 of the 20,000 audience stayed to watch. It was great fun! Thanks so much Qween!” Mark Shaw

The line up for this amazing 3-day Halloween celebration is superb and includes the legendary alternative electro pioneers DAF, Gary Numan, The Stranglers, Gene Loves Jezebel, Fields of the Nephilm, Jah Wobble, and a host of the very best Belgian Goth, Electro and Dark Wave bands over two separate stages.

Regular tickets are £35 and we’re offering a very limited number of just 10 x VIP “Soundcheck Experience” tickets available at £50 to watch TJA perform 2 songs at the end of the soundcheck. Please note: the the current info on the HOLBORN Pizza Express Live ticket page INCORRECTLY states that there are Meet & Greet tickets available at £75 (which sadly is not the case) and at the present time we cannot offer personal Meet & Greets because all the venues are still under strict government health restrictions. However if you select the VIP ticket option for either show, you will be charged £50 for a VIP “Soundcheck Experience” ticket – but remember – VIP ticket numbers are strictly limited to just 10 per venue so they may already be sold out! If you have one of these exclusive tickets then please arrive at 6pm and you’ll gain access to the venue at 6.15pm (approx) to watch the end of our soundcheck. Please understand that we cannot offer physical contact or selfies at the moment (although we obviously hope that will have changed by September!). All tickets for these shows are all seated at tables and as those of you who have been before will know, these shows are intimate and unique. I’ll be performing many of my Then Jerico and Mark Shaw hit singles along with a number of selected album tracks and a couple of my favourite covers. Doors open at 6.30pm The show will comprise 2 x 45 minute sets beginning at 8.30pm (approx) and 9.30pm (approx). Regarding entry, at the moment I don’t yet know what government rules will be, so please contact the venues for any questions, but we will follow whatever guidelines are recommended to guarantee everyone’s safety.

Pizza Express Live are delighted to welcome Mark Shaw:Then Jerico Acoustic to Holborn, London Friday 29th & Saturday 30th March 2019.

With a strong catalogue of hits including: Fault (1985), Muscle Deep (1986), Let Her Fall (1986), Prairie Rose (1987), Muscle Deep (1987), The Motive (which was the highest played record on BBC Radio One in 1987) from the Gold debut album First (The Sound of Music).

In 1989 Big Area ,What Does It Take? featuring Belinda Carlisle and Sugar Box from the band’s second album The Big Area (Outside), which sold over 100,000 copies within 40 minutes of release, attaining Gold and Platinum status and cementing their reputation as one of Britain’s best modern rock bands. The ‘The Big Area Tour’ in 1989 drew over 200,000 fans to their legendary, explosive live shows. (£35)
