01-Apr-2003 TV NEWS   SHAW SINGS FOR TROOPS @ CELEBRITY FORCES TV SPECIAL MORALE BOOSTER! On Sunday March 30th Mark Shaw sang at a celebrity dinner and live TV broadcast on behalf of the British troops in the Gulf. The non-political evening was arranged by CSE (who have previously taken Then Jerico to Bosnia, Kosovo, Turkey & Belfast to play concerts for the forces), James Black PR and The Ministry Of Defence, and was broadcast live to over 50,000 troops in the Gulf. Also performing were Al Murray (Pub Landlord), Paul Tonkinson, Pop Idol's Hayley, Claire Sweeney and new female group Urban Lady. The event was attended by a select crowd of 160 actors, musicians, politicians, and celebrities including Sir Cliff Richard, Esther Rantzen, the East Enders cast,Faye & Lisa from Steps and The 2nd Sea Lord Admiral James Burnell-Nugent. The night was sponsored by OK Magazine, Daily Express and MG Motors and was a huge success. Also broadcasting from the event were Liquid News and Rise TV.
