27-Feb-2003 STOP PRESS : TV NEWS (FOR THOSE IN A CAVE?)   Mark Shaw will be performing on ITV's new show 'Reborn in the USA' during the next two months. The show features 10 singers all thrown together on a tour bus travelling thought eh East Coast of the USA, stopping at a different musical city very week to perform a live concert singing songs relevant to that particular city. The first stop is New Orleans and each week one artist will be voted off the bus via a combination of a telephone vote from the UK and live audience reaction in the US. The tour will progress from New Orleans through Philadelphia, Detroit, Nashville, Cleveland, Memphis and New York. Tthe show is meant to be perceived in a humorous context and hopefully will be a funny as it is entertaining. The first broadcast will be on Saturday March 8th and the show will be screened every Saturday after that for a total of seven weeks, until only two finalists are left. They then fly back to London and perform live in Britain to let the public decide who wins the show. The programme will be followed up with a soundtrack album featuring two songs by each artist released on Universal Music, a DVD of the show plus a live Arena tour in October, including Wembley Arena and the NEC (all dates are yet to be finalised and will be posted here as soon as we have more info).
